Arizona Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari Threatens Trump With Subpoenas After Midterm Sweep

Hindustan Times · politics

Arizona Democrat Yassamin Ansari has warned President Donald Trump that Democrats will use their incoming congressional majority to issue subpoenas and scrutinize his administration. Following victories in the US midterm elections, Democrats have secured control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate. This shift grants them greater authority to investigate the administration, hold hearings, and challenge the president's agenda. Ansari's post signals a tougher oversight approach, with congressional investigations expected to become a significant point of friction between the White House and the Democratic-led Congress.
