Nandan Nilekani-led Exam Reforms Panel Tenure Extended Till January 2027

The Centre has extended the tenure of the Nandan Nilekani-led task force on examination reforms until January 2027. The Prime Minister's Office is seeking consultations with chief ministers and chief secretaries before the panel finalizes its recommendations. This extension allows for broader input on regional disparities in testing infrastructure and administrative preparedness. Stakeholders have suggested a hybrid format for NEET-UG 2027, with a full shift to computer-based testing planned for 2028.

केंद्र ने परीक्षा सुधारों पर नंदन नीलेकणी के नेतृत्व वाली कार्यबल का कार्यकाल जनवरी 2027 तक बढ़ा दिया है। प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय समिति की सिफारिशों को अंतिम रूप देने से पहले मुख्यमंत्रियों और मुख्य सचिवों के साथ परामर्श कर रहा है। यह विस्तार परीक्षण अवसंरचना और प्रशासनिक तैयारियों में क्षेत्रीय असमानताओं पर व्यापक इनपुट की अनुमति देता है। हितधारकों ने NEET-UG 2027 के लिए एक हाइब्रिड प्रारूप का सुझाव दिया है, जिसमें 2028 के लिए कंप्यूटर-आधारित परीक्षण पर पूर्ण बदलाव की योजना है।
