पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी ने नंदीग्राम में ई-रिक्शा से वोट डाला और कहा कि उनका इस सीट से रिश्ता जीवन भर का है। उन्होंने बताया कि उन्होंने भवानीपुर सीट इसलिए बरकरार रखी ताकि कोई प्रतिद्वंद्वी दोबारा चुनाव न लड़ सके। अधिकारी को विश्वास है कि वह अपने पिछले 82,000 वोटों के अंतर को तोड़ देंगे और 85-90% मतदान की भविष्यवाणी की। उन्होंने विपक्षी दलों की मतदान केंद्रों पर अनुपस्थिति को नोट किया और दावा किया कि वे स्थानीय लोगों के लिए अज्ञात थे।
