Trichy Administration Clears 594 Garbage Hotspots In Rural Areas

The Trichy district administration, in collaboration with the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), has successfully cleared 594 garbage hotspots across 254 village panchayats. This intensive campaign is part of a special initiative to improve solid waste management in rural areas. Officials plan to hire more sanitation workers and enhance resources through block-level waste management plans to prevent the recurrence of these hotspots. The reclaimed sites are being beautified with native tree saplings to encourage behavioural changes among residents and strengthen waste management systems.

तिरुचिरापल्ली जिला प्रशासन ने जिला ग्रामीण विकास एजेंसी (DRDA) के साथ मिलकर 254 ग्राम पंचायतों में 594 कचरा स्थलों को सफलतापूर्वक साफ कर दिया है। यह सघन अभियान ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में ठोस अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन को बेहतर बनाने की एक विशेष पहल का हिस्सा है। अधिकारी इन कचरा स्थलों को दोबारा बनने से रोकने के लिए और अधिक सफाई कर्मचारी नियुक्त करने और ब्लॉक-स्तरीय अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन योजनाओं के माध्यम से संसाधनों को बढ़ाने की योजना बना रहे हैं। निवासियों के व्यवहार में बदलाव लाने और अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन प्रणालियों को मजबूत करने के लिए इन खाली की गई जगहों को स्थानीय पेड़ के पौधों से सुशोभित किया जा रहा है।
