Andhra Pradesh SEC Asks Officials to Be Poll-Ready at Short Notice

SEC has urged district administrations and police to prepare for local body elections on short notice. State Election Commissioner Anil Chandra Punetha directed officials to ensure all arrangements are in place for the election process to commence once legal and administrative hurdles are cleared. The SEC is preparing for a swift decision from the Supreme Court regarding reservations for Backward Classes. Officials have been instructed to identify sensitive areas, arrange ballot boxes and ballot papers, and maintain caste-wise statistics at the polling booth level.

SEC ने जिला प्रशासनों और पुलिस से कहा है कि वे छोटी सूचना पर स्थानीय निकाय चुनावों के लिए तैयार रहें। राज्य चुनाव आयुक्त अनिल चंद्र पुनेथा ने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया कि कानूनी और प्रशासनिक बाधाएं दूर होते ही चुनाव प्रक्रिया शुरू करने के लिए सभी व्यवस्थाएं सुनिश्चित की जाएं। SEC पिछड़ा वर्ग आरक्षण को लेकर सुप्रीम कोर्ट से त्वरित निर्णय की तैयारी कर रहा है। अधिकारियों को संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों की पहचान करने, मतपेटी और मतपत्रों की व्यवस्था करने और मतदान केंद्र स्तर पर जाति-वार आंकड़े बनाए रखने का निर्देश दिया गया है।
