Bulgaria's security has sharply worsened due to Russian drone attacks hitting commercial ships off its coast, according to Iliana Yotova. The remarks followed an emergency Security Council meeting after two commercial vessels were struck in Bulgaria's exclusive economic zone. One ship sank and another caught fire, prompting an investigation into the drones' origin. While Yotova condemned the attacks as a violation of international law, she did not directly blame Russia pending investigation results. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, however, blamed Russia for the strikes.
