Authorities in Varanasi discovered vintage guns, numerous pigeon cages, 100 rats, and significant filth during a raid on a multi-storey house. The action was taken in Jergular locality ahead of a three-day Indian Air Force air show. The area within a 20-km radius of Namo Ghat was declared a no-bird zone to ensure safe aircraft movement and prevent bird-hit incidents. A case has been registered against the house owner for violating the ban on flying pigeons. Cleaning and pesticide spraying were conducted following the discovery of rats and heavy filth.
