Cupra Kiro team principal Russell O'Hagan has stated the team is nearing a decision on its second race seat for the 2026-27 Formula E season. Dan Ticktum remains a candidate, despite recently testing for rival Lola Yamaha. The team is evaluating two or three potential drivers and anticipates an announcement within the next few weeks. Pepe Marti's contract has already been extended. The decision considers the upcoming Gen4 cars, which will feature permanent all-wheel drive and increased power, potentially favouring strong single-lap qualifiers like Ticktum.
