Varanasi has unveiled India's first urban ropeway transportation system, marking a significant milestone in city transit. This project makes Varanasi the third city globally to operate such a facility within its core, following La Paz and Mexico City. Constructed at a cost of ₹807 crore, the ropeway aims to enhance travel for residents and the numerous tourists visiting the region. The service allows passengers to experience Kashi from a height of 150 feet in just 16 minutes.
