The Nashik Municipal Corporation's plan to access an additional 600 million cubic feet of water from Gangapur dam's dead storage has been delayed. No bids were received for the project, which involves removing rocky obstructions to make trapped water accessible. Civic officials consider this crucial due to the drought situation and anticipated demand during next year's Simhastha Kumbh Mela. The NMC will float a fresh tender, pushing the project back by one to two months. The estimated Rs 9.82 crore project aims to secure water for nearly a month.

नाशिक नगर निगम की गंगापूर बांध के डेड स्टोरेज से अतिरिक्त 600 मिलियन क्यूबिक फीट पानी तक पहुँचने की योजना में देरी हो गई है। इस प्रोजेक्ट के लिए कोई बोली नहीं मिली, जिसमें फंसे हुए पानी तक पहुँचने के लिए चट्टानी बाधाओं को हटाना शामिल है। नागरिक अधिकारियों का मानना है कि सूखे की स्थिति और अगले साल होने वाले सिंहस्थ कुंभ मेले के दौरान अनुमानित मांग को देखते हुए यह बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। एनएमसी एक नया टेंडर जारी करेगा, जिससे प्रोजेक्ट एक से दो महीने पीछे खिसक जाएगा। अनुमानित 9.82 करोड़ रुपये की इस परियोजना का लक्ष्य लगभग एक महीने के लिए पानी सुरक्षित करना है।
