New Mangalore Port Offers Rebates To Boost Container Traffic

New Mangalore Port (NMPA) has announced enhanced rebates on Vessel Related Charges to promote containerised cargo movement and boost its competitiveness. Feeder line container vessels will receive a 35% rebate on berth hire, port dues, and pilotage charges. Mainline container vessels will benefit from a 50% rebate on the same charges. These revised rebates are applicable from November 3 to March 31, 2027, specifically for handling containerised cargo. The initiative aims to attract more container vessel calls and improve the port's overall cost-effectiveness.

न्यू मैंगलोर पोर्ट (NMPA) ने कंटेनर वाले माल की आवाजाही को बढ़ावा देने और अपनी प्रतिस्पर्धा बढ़ाने के लिए वेसल रिलेटेड चार्जेज पर बढ़ी हुई छूट की घोषणा की है। फीडर लाइन कंटेनर जहाजों को बर्थ हायर, पोर्ट ड्यूज और पायलटाइज चार्जेज पर 35% की छूट मिलेगी। मेनलाइन कंटेनर जहाजों को इन्हीं चार्जेज पर 50% की छूट का लाभ मिलेगा। ये संशोधित छूटें 3 नवंबर से 31 मार्च 2027 तक, विशेष रूप से कंटेनर वाले माल को संभालने के लिए लागू हैं। इस पहल का उद्देश्य अधिक कंटेनर जहाजों को आकर्षित करना और पोर्ट की समग्र लागत-प्रभावशीलता में सुधार करना है।
