Ordinary citizens can actively participate in auditing voter lists, according to Chennai-based activist M Radhakrishnan. He explains that the concept of social audit, familiar from schemes like MGNREGA, can be applied to electoral rolls. Citizens can question and correct their own voter data, rather than solely relying on the system. Radhakrishnan highlights that the Booth Level Officer (BLO) is the initial point of contact for queries and corrections, followed by the Electoral.
