Election Commission to Re-add Dropped Voter Names Amid Opposition Protests

The Election Commission of India has decided to re-include names of voters that were dropped from the electoral rolls. This decision comes after significant opposition pressure and concerns raised during the SSR process, where a large number of names were reportedly removed. The commission will launch a special campaign across 20 states and Union Territories. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct door-to-door surveys to identify and add the names of eligible voters who were missed.
