Lucknow Police have unearthed a suspected illegal call-routing network after conducting raids at four locations across the city. The operation led to the seizure of six SIM boxes capable of operating 192 SIM cards simultaneously, along with other electronic equipment. This infrastructure could have been used to route fraudulent calls and conceal callers' locations. The recovery is significant amid the rise of digital arrest scams where fraudsters impersonate officials to extort money. An FIR has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing to identify those connected to the network.
