Supreme Court Flags Building Law Violations Across India

The Supreme Court has flagged widespread building and land-use violations across India, extending beyond the Satya Niketan PG accommodation collapse. Senior Advocate Ajit Kumar Sinha, serving as Amicus Curiae, informed the court about similar issues. The apex court has now sought reports from civic authorities in state and UT capitals regarding building law infringements.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने पूरे भारत में बड़े पैमाने पर बिल्डिंग और ज़मीन के गलत इस्तेमाल के मामले उठाए हैं, जो सिर्फ़ सत्य निकेतन पीजी अकोमोडेशन हादसे तक ही सीमित नहीं हैं। एमिकस क्यूरी अजित कुमार सिन्हा ने कोर्ट को ऐसी ही और समस्याओं के बारे में बताया। अब सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सभी राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों की राजधानियों के नागरिक अधिकारियों से बिल्डिंग कानूनों के उल्लंघन पर रिपोर्ट मांगी है।
