Sacked Operator Pulls Power To Villages, Climbs Pole In Protest

An outsourced electricity operator in Satna district, Madhya Pradesh, switched off power to hundreds of villages and climbed an electric pole in protest after being dismissed. Abhinendra Shukla alleged he was removed without valid reason. The incident left rural consumers without electricity for about an hour. Police and officials persuaded Shukla to descend, assuring him of reinstatement. Power supply was restored after he came down, and officials cautioned him against repeating such actions.

मध्य प्रदेश के सतना जिले में एक आउटसोर्स बिजली ऑपरेटर को नौकरी से निकालने के बाद उसने सैकड़ों गांवों की बिजली काट दी और विरोध में एक बिजली के खंभे पर चढ़ गया। अभिनेंद्र शुक्ला ने आरोप लगाया कि उसे बिना किसी वैध कारण के हटाया गया। इस घटना से ग्रामीण उपभोक्ताओं को करीब एक घंटे तक बिजली नहीं मिली। पुलिस और अधिकारियों ने शुक्ला को नीचे उतरने के लिए मनाया और उसे बहाल करने का आश्वासन दिया। उसके नीचे उतरने के बाद बिजली आपूर्ति बहाल कर दी गई, और अधिकारियों ने उसे ऐसे कार्य दोबारा न करने की चेतावनी दी।
