Ganjam Begins Cash, Rice Distribution To Flood Victims

The Ganjam district administration has commenced the distribution of cash and rice to families affected by recent floods. The state government sanctioned over Rs 107.44 crore from the State Disaster Response Fund to provide Rs 2,500 cash assistance and 50 kg of rice to 4.29 lakh affected families. Additionally, 2.14 lakh quintals of rice have been provided in the first phase. While cash is being transferred directly, rice is distributed at panchayat offices. However, some residents are expressing discontent, urging the government to extend benefits to the entire district.

गंजम जिला प्रशासन ने हाल की बाढ़ से प्रभावित परिवारों को नकद और चावल का वितरण शुरू कर दिया है। राज्य सरकार ने राज्य आपदा प्रतिक्रिया कोष से 107.44 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की मंजूरी दी है ताकि 4.29 लाख प्रभावित परिवारों को 2,500 रुपये नकद सहायता और 50 किलोग्राम चावल प्रदान किया जा सके। इसके अतिरिक्त, पहले चरण में 2.14 लाख क्विंटल चावल उपलब्ध कराया गया है। जहाँ नकद सीधे ट्रांसफर किया जा रहा है, वहीं चावल पंचायत कार्यालयों में वितरित किया जा रहा है। हालाँकि, कुछ निवासी असंतोष व्यक्त कर रहे हैं, सरकार से पूरे जिले को लाभ पहुंचाने का आग्रह कर रहे हैं।
