Rajasthan Panchayat Elections Marred By Violence And Boycotts

Rajasthan's Pali district witnessed significant disruptions during Panchayat elections. In Karmavas Patta village, irate villagers allegedly confined a polling party to a room after the sarpanch election results, leading to a tense situation. Police intervened and safely escorted the polling party out. Elsewhere, in Duthariya village and Haripur village's dhani, residents boycotted voting to protest changes in Panchayat headquarters and delimitation. In Duthariya, only one out of 416 voters cast a ballot due to the protest.

राजस्थान के पाली जिले में पंचायत चुनावों के दौरान काफी हंगामा हुआ। कर्मवास पट्टा गांव में, सरपंच चुनाव के नतीजों के बाद नाराज ग्रामीणों ने कथित तौर पर एक पोलिंग पार्टी को एक कमरे में बंद कर दिया, जिससे तनावपूर्ण स्थिति पैदा हो गई। पुलिस ने हस्तक्षेप किया और पोलिंग पार्टी को सुरक्षित बाहर निकाला। वहीं, दुठरिया गांव और हरिपुर गांव की ढाणी में, पंचायत मुख्यालय और परिसीमन में बदलावों के विरोध में निवासियों ने मतदान का बहिष्कार किया। दुठरिया में, विरोध के कारण 416 मतदाताओं में से केवल एक ने ही वोट डाला।
