SC Warns Odisha On Dara Singh Remission Plea

The Supreme Court has issued an ultimatum to the Odisha government regarding the remission plea of Dara Singh, a life convict in the Staines triple murder case. A bench led by Justice Manoj Misra cautioned the state government that continued delays would compel the Supreme Court to take over and decide the remission petition itself.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने स्टेनस हत्याकांड के दोषी दारा सिंह की माफी की अर्जी पर ओडिशा सरकार को अल्टीमेटम दिया है। जस्टिस मनोज मिश्रा की बेंच ने राज्य सरकार को चेतावनी दी है कि अगर देरी जारी रही तो सुप्रीम कोर्ट खुद इस अर्जी पर फैसला लेने के लिए आगे बढ़ेगा। कोर्ट ने कहा कि अब और इंतजार नहीं किया जा सकता।
