Bengaluru Minister Seeks Renaming of Metro Station to Arabic College

Bengaluru Housing Minister B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan has formally requested Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to rename the proposed Kadugondanahalli Metro station on the Pink Line. The minister proposed the name ‘Arabic College Metro Station’ to reflect the local identity and significance of the area. This station is part of the Namma Metro’s Pink Line, which aims to connect the southern and northern parts of Bengaluru. The renaming aims to align the station's name with the geographical and cultural context of its location.

बेंगलुरु के आवास मंत्री बी.जे. जमीर अहमद खान ने मुख्यमंत्री डी.के. शिवकुमार से पिंक लाइन पर प्रस्तावित कडुगोंडनहल्ली मेट्रो स्टेशन का नाम बदलने का औपचारिक अनुरोध किया है। मंत्री ने इस इलाके की स्थानीय पहचान और महत्व को दर्शाने के लिए 'अरबी कॉलेज मेट्रो स्टेशन' नाम का प्रस्ताव दिया है। यह स्टेशन नम्मा मेट्रो की पिंक लाइन का हिस्सा है, जिसका उद्देश्य बेंगलुरु के दक्षिणी और उत्तरी हिस्सों को जोड़ना है। नाम बदलने का उद्देश्य स्टेशन के नाम को उसके स्थान के भौगोलिक और सांस्कृतिक संदर्भ के साथ संरेखित करना है।
