Goa Government Notifies Rules for Seniority List of District Judges

The Goa government has officially notified the Goa Judicial Service (Amendment) Rules, 2025, and the Goa Judicial Service (Seniority) (Amendment) Rules, 2025. These rules establish the framework for recruitment, promotion, and the creation of a seniority list for district judges. Promotion from civil judge junior division to senior division will be based on merit-cum-seniority, with evaluations of judgments, confidential reports, and vigilance reports contributing to the assessment. Officers must achieve at least 60% marks in the evaluation to be considered for promotion.

गोवा सरकार ने आधिकारिक तौर पर गोवा न्यायिक सेवा (संशोधन) नियम, 2025 और गोवा न्यायिक सेवा (वरिष्ठता) (संशोधन) नियम, 2025 को अधिसूचित किया है। ये नियम जिला न्यायाधीशों के लिए भर्ती, पदोन्नति और वरिष्ठता सूची बनाने का ढांचा स्थापित करते हैं। सिविल जज जूनियर डिवीजन से सीनियर डिवीजन में पदोन्नति योग्यता-सह-वरिष्ठता पर आधारित होगी, जिसमें निर्णयों, गोपनीय रिपोर्टों और सतर्कता रिपोर्टों के मूल्यांकन को आकलन में योगदान मिलेगा। पदोन्नति के लिए विचार किए जाने वाले अधिकारियों को मूल्यांकन में कम से कम 60% अंक प्राप्त करने होंगे।
