Kerala Minister: Ex-gunman to Face Action for False Statement Against Activists

Kerala Health Minister K Muraleedharan announced that the former gunman of ex-minister Veena George will face action for falsely claiming KSU activists attempted to kill her. The gunman admitted to the Special Investigation Team that he lied under George's alleged instructions during a black flag protest in Kannur in February. The minister expressed surprise at the fear of a black flag and called the actions irresponsible. The Kerala Students Union has also complained against George for false accusations against the protesting activists.

केरल की स्वास्थ्य मंत्री के मुरलीधरन ने घोषणा की है कि पूर्व मंत्री वीना जॉर्ज के पूर्व गनर पर केएसयू कार्यकर्ताओं द्वारा उन्हें मारने की कोशिश करने का झूठा दावा करने के लिए कार्रवाई की जाएगी। गनर ने स्पेशल इन्वेस्टिगेशन टीम को स्वीकार किया कि उसने फरवरी में कन्नूर में एक काले झंडे के विरोध के दौरान जॉर्ज के कथित निर्देशों पर झूठ बोला था। मंत्री ने काले झंडे के डर पर आश्चर्य व्यक्त किया और इस कार्रवाई को गैर-जिम्मेदाराना बताया। केरल स्टूडेंट्स यूनियन ने जॉर्ज के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन करने वाले कार्यकर्ताओं के खिलाफ झूठे आरोप लगाने की शिकायत भी की है।
