Delhi Air Quality Plunges to 'Very Poor'; Stage-II GRAP Invoked

Delhi's air quality has significantly deteriorated, with the AQI reaching 324 in the 'very poor' category. In response, the CAQM Sub-Committee on GRAP has invoked Stage-II of the Graded Response Action Plan across the NCR. This action plan mandates increased parking fees to discourage private vehicle use and suggests staggering office timings for public and municipal bodies. The sub-committee cited unfavorable meteorological conditions and forecasts predicting continued poor air quality in the coming days.

दिल्ली की हवा की क्वालिटी बहुत खराब हो गई है, AQI 324 पर पहुँच गया है। इसके चलते CAQM की सब-कमेटी ने NCR में GRAP का स्टेज-II लागू कर दिया है। इस एक्शन प्लान के तहत प्राइवेट गाड़ियों के इस्तेमाल को हतोत्साहित करने के लिए पार्किंग फीस बढ़ाई जाएगी और सरकारी व म्युनिसिपल बॉडीज के लिए ऑफिस के टाइमिंग को बदलने का सुझाव दिया गया है। सब-कमेटी ने खराब मौसम और आने वाले दिनों में हवा की क्वालिटी के और खराब होने की आशंका को इसका कारण बताया है।
