Mayawati: Akash Anand Not Expelled, Father-in-Law's Retirement Ends Need for Separation

BSP chief Mayawati stated that her nephew Akash Anand was never expelled from the party prior to his marriage, and any subsequent actions were aimed at improving his conduct. She clarified that media reports exaggerating his expulsions were inaccurate. With Akash's father-in-law, Ashok Siddharth, retiring from politics, Mayawati believes there is no longer a need to separate Akash from the BSP. This comes after Akash's recent reinstatement as national coordinator, reversing his expulsion.
