Tesla is targeting the end of this year to begin selling its Cybercab robotaxis, according to engineering chief Lars Moravy. These two-seater vehicles lack manual controls like steering wheels or pedals, which are typically required by federal regulations. NHTSA has launched an investigation into the Cybercabs to assess their compliance with safety standards. Tesla has been offering paid rides on a small fleet in Austin, Texas, and plans to expand to Dallas next month.
