Authorities in Assam's Dhubri district demolished the homes of over 640 Bengali Muslim families on Sunday, displacing more than 4,000 residents. The eviction drive took place on 650 bighas of government-owned land in Alamganj Part-IX village, with notices served for 800 bighas. Officials stated the land is intended for an industrial park. This action follows similar large-scale demolitions across other districts in Assam in recent weeks, part of an ongoing trend under the current state government.
