Vadodara Municipal Corporation Proposes ₹20.84 Crore For 23 Litter-Picker Machines

VMC has proposed an expenditure of ₹20.84 crore to acquire 23 vehicle-mounted litter-picker machines. These machines are intended to remove plastic waste, paan residue, and other lightweight litter from major roads and roadside dividers. The proposal includes ten years of operation and maintenance for the machines, each with a 1,420-litre capacity. Funding for this initiative will come from state and central government grants, including allocations under the Swachh Bharat Mission. The standing committee's approval is required to proceed with this project aimed at improving city cleanliness.

VMC ने 23 वाहन-माउंटेड लीटर-पिकर मशीनें खरीदने के लिए ₹20.84 करोड़ के खर्च का प्रस्ताव दिया है। इन मशीनों का उद्देश्य प्रमुख सड़कों और सड़क किनारे डिवाइडर से प्लास्टिक कचरा, पान के दाग और अन्य हल्के कचरे को हटाना है। प्रस्ताव में प्रत्येक 1,420-लीटर क्षमता वाली मशीनों के संचालन और रखरखाव के दस साल शामिल हैं। इस पहल के लिए धन राज्य और केंद्र सरकार के अनुदान से आएगा, जिसमें स्वच्छ भारत मिशन के तहत आवंटन भी शामिल है। शहर की स्वच्छता में सुधार के उद्देश्य से इस परियोजना को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए स्टैंडिंग कमेटी की मंजूरी आवश्यक है।
