Business Standard · business
Fintech funding rounds saw a significant decline of 41 per cent, with only 153 deals recorded between January and September. Despite this drop in deal volume, the total capital raised actually increased by 14 per cent, reaching $2.2 billion. This trend suggests a notable shift in investor preference towards more established companies within the fintech sector. The implementation of the DPDP Act is also anticipated to contribute to a further tightening of funding conditions for fintech startups.
