Dozens of robots recently competed in the World Mountain Robot Challenge, ascending over 3,000 steps on China's sacred Mount Tai. The event tested machine endurance on the rugged, historic pilgrimage site, with robots tasked with completing the 2.4-mile course or transporting fragile items like eggs and watermelons. Some robots struggled with the terrain, collapsing or tumbling down stairs, while others achieved impressive times. A canine robot finished a speed category in 43 minutes, 41 seconds, showcasing advancements in robotic capabilities.
