Dr Ashok Kumar, a former General Manager at Coal India Limited, has enrolled in a postgraduate psychology program at Ranchi University after retiring from two corporate roles. Kumar, who holds multiple engineering degrees and a PhD, previously worked at Coal India until 2018 and then joined the Jaypee Group, retiring from there in October 2025. Driven by a curiosity about human behavior, he aims to understand people after a career focused on machines and management. He actively attends classes and engages with faculty, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to learning.

कोयला इंडिया लिमिटेड के पूर्व जनरल मैनेजर डॉ. अशोक कुमार ने दो कॉर्पोरेट भूमिकाओं से रिटायर होने के बाद रांची यूनिवर्सिटी में पोस्टग्रेजुएट साइकोलॉजी प्रोग्राम में दाखिला लिया है। कुमार, जिनके पास कई इंजीनियरिंग डिग्री और पीएचडी है, पहले 2018 तक कोयला इंडिया में काम करते थे और फिर जयपी ग्रुप में शामिल हो गए, जहाँ से उन्होंने अक्टूबर 2025 में रिटायरमेंट लिया। मानव व्यवहार के प्रति जिज्ञासा से प्रेरित होकर, उनका लक्ष्य मशीनों और प्रबंधन पर केंद्रित करियर के बाद लोगों को समझना है। वह सक्रिय रूप से कक्षाओं में भाग लेते हैं और फैकल्टी के साथ जुड़ते हैं, जो सीखने के प्रति आजीवन प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है।
