Israel has returned 22 ancient artefacts, including 15 Attic vases, six Corinthian vases, and a bronze statuette, that were stolen from Greece. The Israel Antiquities Authority's Theft Prevention Unit located the items. Greek Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni accepted the objects at a ceremony in Athens, calling it a starting point for closer cooperation in protecting cultural heritage. This cultural exchange occurs as Greece and Israel strengthen their energy and defence ties, including a recent $3.5 billion defence deal.
