Jon Rahm Quits LIV Golf Over Unacceptable Terms
Hindustan Times · sports
Golfer Jon Rahm will not participate in the next version of LIV Golf, with his lawyer stating the proposed terms for 'LIV 2.0' are unacceptable. Rahm's decision comes as LIV Golf faces major changes after losing financial backing from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. The league is currently undergoing Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and is working on a new player-owned setup for 2027. Rahm, a major star since joining in 2023, is also a significant financial creditor to the league, with an unsecured claim of approximately $7.47 million.
