Shubman Gill Identifies Two Major Flaws in Team India's Game

TV9 Hindi · sports

Indian cricket captain Shubman Gill has identified fielding and death bowling as two critical areas needing immediate improvement for the team. Following the ODI series win against West Indies, Gill acknowledged that the team drops an average of six to seven catches per match, which is unacceptable for top-level competition. He also expressed confusion regarding the team's strategy during death overs, questioning whether bowlers should attack or defend when opposition wickets have fallen. Gill stressed the necessity of addressing these weaknesses before the 2027 ODI World Cup.
