The Delhi Police has requested social media platform X to remove the accounts and posts of digital rights organisations Internet Freedom Foundation (IFF) and Software Freedom Law Center (SFLC). The police cited allegations that these groups defamed the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the parent organisation of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. The digital rights groups stated that the RSS had previously sent them a legal notice demanding they cease criticising and documenting government blocking orders.
