India's Small & Midcap Funds Attract Over Rs 1 Lakh Crore
Economic Times Markets · stocks
Investors have poured over ₹1 lakh crore into Indian small- and mid-cap funds this year, seeking higher returns despite increased volatility. Mid-cap funds received ₹51,295 crore and small-cap funds attracted ₹55,300 crore, significantly outpacing the ₹11,690 crore seen in large-cap funds. While smallcaps have seen substantial market value growth, they now trade at a premium to largecaps on trailing earnings. Analysts suggest largecaps are regaining valuation advantage due to a wider discount to midcaps, with narrowing earnings growth expectations making them a more favourable risk-reward proposition.
