50 Students Fall Ill After Eating Hostel Food; Poison Suspected

Around 50 students residing in a government SC Girls Hostel in Baharampur, West Bengal, fell ill after consuming food from the mess. They were initially admitted to Murshidabad Medical College Hospital, but many had to return due to recurring symptoms like foaming at the mouth and dizziness. Families suspect the food was poisoned or contained a narcotic substance. Following a complaint from some students, the hostel cook, Bani Hazra, has been arrested. The food safety department and doctors are assisting in the ongoing investigation into the incident.

हॉस्टल के खाने के बाद 50 छात्र बीमार खाने में ज़हर की आशंका

पश्चिम बंगाल के बहरामपुर में एक सरकारी SC गर्ल्स हॉस्टल में रहने वाले करीब 50 छात्र मेस का खाना खाने के बाद बीमार पड़ गए। उन्हें पहले मुर्शिदाबाद मेडिकल कॉलेज अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था, लेकिन मुंह से झाग आने और चक्कर आने जैसे लक्षणों के बार-बार होने के कारण कई को लौटना पड़ा। परिवारों को शक है कि खाना ज़हरीला था या उसमें कोई नशीला पदार्थ मिलाया गया था। कुछ छात्रों की शिकायत के बाद हॉस्टल की कुक, बानी हज़रा को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है। खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग और डॉक्टर इस घटना की चल रही जांच में मदद कर रहे हैं।
