DUSU Demands More Hostels, PG Safety Audits, and Enhanced Women's Security

The Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU), led by the ABVP, has submitted a memorandum to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta demanding immediate action on student accommodation and safety. Key demands include the construction of more university hostels to address accommodation shortages, especially for students from outside Delhi. DUSU also called for mandatory, regular safety and structural audits of paying guest accommodations and hostels. Furthermore, the union seeks stronger security measures for women students around campus, including improved lighting and increased police patrolling.
