Six UP Cities Selected For Pragati-50 Initiative

Six Uttar Pradesh cities, including Agra, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Mathura-Vrindavan, Prayagraj, and Varanasi, have been chosen for the Centre's Pragati-50 initiative. This program aims to develop 50 cities nationwide as models for cleanliness, modern infrastructure, and sustainable urban development. The initiative focuses on improving sanitation, waste management, and civic amenities in selected cities. Uttar Pradesh's urban development minister requested the inclusion of Kanpur, highlighting its industrial and historical significance. The selected cities will receive focused attention on mechanised cleaning, waste processing, and green mobility.

प्रगति-50 पहल के लिए उत्तर प्रदेश के छह शहर चुने गए

आगरा, अयोध्या, लखनऊ, मथुरा-वृन्दावन, प्रयागराज और वाराणसी सहित उत्तर प्रदेश के छह शहरों को केंद्र की प्रगति-50 पहल के लिए चुना गया है। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य पूरे देश में 50 शहरों को स्वच्छता, आधुनिक बुनियादी ढांचे और टिकाऊ शहरी विकास के मॉडल के रूप में विकसित करना है। यह पहल चयनित शहरों में स्वच्छता, अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन और नागरिक सुविधाओं में सुधार पर केंद्रित है। उत्तर प्रदेश के शहरी विकास मंत्री ने कानपुर को इसके औद्योगिक और ऐतिहासिक महत्व को उजागर करते हुए शामिल करने का अनुरोध किया। चयनित शहरों को मशीनीकृत सफाई, अपशिष्ट प्रसंस्करण और हरित गतिशीलता पर केंद्रित ध्यान मिलेगा।
