West Bengal CM Warns Against Disrupting Durga Puja Festivities

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari urged police and puja committees to remain vigilant against attempts to spoil Durga Puja festivities. He noted recent accidents at pandals and assured that investigations are ongoing. Adhikari also highlighted the significant growth in Durga Puja celebrations across Bengal, with 13,000 new pujas approved this year, bringing the total to 58,000. He emphasized the government's commitment to social reform, including tackling drug trafficking, child marriage, and teenage pregnancy, citing statistics on institutional deliveries involving underage mothers.

पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी ने पुलिस और पूजा समितियों से दुर्गा पूजा उत्सव को खराब करने के प्रयासों के खिलाफ सतर्क रहने का आग्रह किया। उन्होंने पंडालों में हाल की दुर्घटनाओं का उल्लेख किया और आश्वासन दिया कि जांच चल रही है। अधिकारी ने बंगाल में दुर्गा पूजा उत्सवों में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि पर भी प्रकाश डाला, इस वर्ष 13,000 नए पूजाओं को मंजूरी दी गई, जिससे कुल संख्या 58,000 हो गई। उन्होंने सामाजिक सुधार के प्रति सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता पर जोर दिया, जिसमें नशीली दवाओं की तस्करी, बाल विवाह और किशोर गर्भावस्था से निपटना शामिल है, और नाबालिग माताओं से जुड़ी संस्थागत प्रसव के आंकड़ों का हवाला दिया।
