IIT-B suicide probe panel yet to contact family

Times of India · education

A week after its formation, the 10-member committee investigating the death of IIT-Bombay student Sahil Wakode has not yet spoken to his family. The student's father stated that no one from the institute has contacted them. The family has alleged caste bias against a professor and is demanding the arrest of the IIT-B director and the professor. The father is continuing a hunger strike until the accused are arrested, while also seeking an independent inquiry into the alleged selective leakage of CCTV footage.
