DCPs, ACPs Accountable For DJ Noise Violations

Nagpur High Court has directed police authorities to strictly enforce a notification restricting DJ and prohibited sound systems during festivals. Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners of Police will be held responsible for violations within their jurisdictions. The court stressed that prohibitory orders must be effectively enforced on the ground, not just remain on paper. This directive aims to curb growing noise pollution in the city during the festive season.

नागपुर हाई कोर्ट ने पुलिस को आदेश दिया है कि त्योहारों के दौरान DJ और ध्वनि प्रदूषण फैलाने वाले सिस्टम पर लगी रोक का सख्ती से पालन कराया जाए। DCP और ACP अपने इलाकों में होने वाले उल्लंघन के लिए जिम्मेदार होंगे। कोर्ट ने कहा कि ये रोक सिर्फ कागजों पर नहीं, बल्कि ज़मीन पर भी लागू होनी चाहिए। इसका मकसद त्योहारों में बढ़ते शोर को कम करना है।
