IIT Kharagpur to Establish India's First AI School with Alumni Funding

IIT Kharagpur is set to launch India's first dedicated Artificial Intelligence school, named the Benjamin Gupta School of Physical AI. The initiative is funded by alumnus and philanthropist Vinod Gupta and another alumnus, with a total estimated cost of Rs 35 crore. The school aims to advance AI beyond data-driven algorithms, focusing on systems that understand and interact with the physical world. It will integrate AI with various scientific and engineering disciplines, with academic programs expected to begin next academic session.

आईआईटी खड़गपुर एलुमनाई फंडिंग से भारत का पहला AI स्कूल खोलेगा

आईआईटी खड़गपुर भारत का पहला समर्पित आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस स्कूल लॉन्च करने जा रहा है, जिसका नाम बेंजामिन गुप्ता स्कूल ऑफ फिजिकल AI होगा। यह पहल एलुमनाई और परोपकारी विनोद गुप्ता और एक अन्य एलुमनाई द्वारा फंड की जा रही है, जिसकी कुल अनुमानित लागत 35 करोड़ रुपये है। स्कूल का लक्ष्य डेटा-संचालित एल्गोरिदम से परे AI को आगे बढ़ाना है, जो उन सिस्टमों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगा जो भौतिक दुनिया को समझते हैं और उसके साथ इंटरैक्ट करते हैं। यह AI को विभिन्न वैज्ञानिक और इंजीनियरिंग विषयों के साथ एकीकृत करेगा, और अगले शैक्षणिक सत्र से शैक्षणिक कार्यक्रम शुरू होने की उम्मीद है।
