Paleontologists have discovered the first known trackway of an adult T. rex, revealing its walking speed. Four enormous three-toed footprints found in southwestern North Dakota were pressed into mud approximately 66.5 million years ago. The spacing suggests the dinosaur moved at a brisk pace of 3.5 to 4.5 miles per hour. This find offers a rare, direct glimpse of the giant predator moving across the ancient landscape, providing insights beyond skeletal remains.
