Bombay HC Won't Order Blanket Ban on Police Detaining Protesters

बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट ने कहा कि वह चुनाव आयुक्त के विरोध में प्रदर्शन करने वाले व्यक्तियों को हिरासत में लेने के खिलाफ कोई पूर्ण आदेश जारी नहीं कर सकता। हालांकि, अदालत ने आश्वासन दिया कि अगर सबूत पेश किए जाते हैं तो वह मनमानी के विशिष्ट मामलों को देखेगी। यह एक जनहित याचिका के बाद आया है जिसमें मुंबई और 11, 2026 में शांतिपूर्ण प्रदर्शनकारियों की अवैध हिरासत का आरोप लगाया गया था। राज्य सरकार द्वारा आरोपों पर प्रतिक्रिया देने के लिए समय मांगे जाने के बाद अदालत सोमवार को याचिका पर आगे सुनवाई करेगी।
