37 Miners Found Dead in Nigerian Custody

Thirty-seven miners detained during raids on suspected illegal gold mines have been found dead in the custody of Nigeria's paramilitary force. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) conducted the raids on September 15 and 16. Initially suggesting a disease outbreak, the agency later stated the cause of death is undetermined and requires medical examination. Nigeria's interior minister suspended the NSCDC commandant pending investigation.

नाइजीरिया में अवैध सोने की खदानों पर छापेमारी के दौरान पकड़े गए 37 खनिकों की मौत हो गई है। ये खनिक नाइजीरिया सिक्योरिटी एंड सिविल डिफेंस कॉर्प्स (NSCDC) की हिरासत में थे। शुरुआत में बीमारी फैलने की बात कही गई, लेकिन अब NSCDC ने कहा है कि मौत का कारण पता नहीं चला है और मेडिकल जांच की जाएगी। इस मामले में नाइजीरिया के गृहमंत्री ने NSCDC के कमांडेंट को निलंबित कर दिया है।
