वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने कहा है कि भारत में खपत में अगले चरण की बढ़ोतरी की सबसे बड़ी वजह कामकाजी परिवारों की आमदनी बढ़ना है। उन्होंने बताया कि खेती, ग्रामीण निर्माण, ट्रांसपोर्ट और छोटे-मोटे धंधों से जुड़े लोगों की आय बढ़ने से लोग अपनी मर्ज़ी से ज़्यादा खर्च कर पाएंगे। इससे अब आर्थिक ध्यान उन लोगों पर जाएगा जो आय के मामले में नीचे हैं। लगातार आर्थिक तरक्की के लिए इस वर्ग को समझना और उनका साथ देना बहुत ज़रूरी है।
