Andhra Pradesh Election Commission Allows Pension Distribution, Bars New Beneficiaries

The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission has permitted the distribution of social security pensions to existing beneficiaries. This decision allows authorised personnel to withdraw and disburse funds from banks. However, the commission has strictly prohibited the addition of new beneficiaries or any revision of current pension amounts while the Model Code of Conduct is in effect. The SEC's order aims to ensure that vulnerable sections, including the elderly and disabled, continue to receive their pensions without interruption during the election period.
