Surging Gomti river waters have caused a crisis in Lucknow, inundating major cremation grounds and religious shrines. Floodwaters have entered crematoriums, submerging platforms and cutting off access routes, forcing families to use limited available spaces. At Bhaisakund, only 11 of 32 wooden platforms remain fully accessible, while Gulalaghat's 30 platforms are submerged, and its electric crematorium shut. The Chandrika Devi temple has also been closed for three days due to three-foot-high water levels, cutting off devotees.

लखनऊ में गोमती नदी का जलस्तर बढ़ने से संकट पैदा हो गया है, जिससे प्रमुख श्मशान घाटों और धार्मिक स्थलों में पानी भर गया है। बाढ़ का पानी श्मशान घाटों में घुस गया है, प्लेटफार्म डूब गए हैं और रास्ते बंद हो गए हैं, जिससे परिवारों को सीमित उपलब्ध स्थानों का उपयोग करना पड़ रहा है। भैसाकुंड में, 32 लकड़ी के प्लेटफार्मों में से केवल 11 पूरी तरह से सुलभ हैं, जबकि गुलालगढ़ के 30 प्लेटफार्म डूब गए हैं और उसका इलेक्ट्रिक श्मशान घाट बंद है। तीन फीट पानी भरने के कारण चंद्रिका देवी मंदिर भी तीन दिनों से बंद है, जिससे भक्तों का आना-जाना बंद हो गया है।
