A painting initially valued at just over £500 at a British auction in April 2024 has been identified as an early work by renowned artist JMW Turner. Titled 'The Rising Squall, Hot Wells, from St Vincent's Rock, Bristol', the artwork was catalogued as by a follower of Julius Caesar Ibbetson. After cleaning revealed a signature and further investigation confirmed its attribution to Turner, the painting was sold for nearly £1.9 million at Sotheby's in July 2025. This discovery offers a rare glimpse into Turner's early artistic techniques and ambitions.

'The Rising Squall, Hot Wells, from St Vincent's Rock, Bristol' नाम की इस कलाकृति को जूलियस सीज़र इबेटसन के अनुयायी की रचना बताया गया था।
