US Citizen Matthew VanDyke, 6 Ukrainians Allowed Longer Stay Outside India

A Delhi court has extended the permission for US citizen Matthew VanDyke and six Ukrainians to stay outside India until February. The seven individuals were arrested in March by the National Investigation Agency for alleged links to Myanmar-based ethnic armed groups hostile to India. The agency requested more time for its investigation, leading the court to grant the extension. Previously, they were allowed to travel home for a month with the condition of rejoining the investigation.

दिल्ली की एक अदालत ने अमेरिकी नागरिक मैथ्यू वैनडाइक और छह यूक्रेनियों को फरवरी तक भारत से बाहर रहने की अनुमति बढ़ा दी है। इन सात लोगों को मार्च में National Investigation Agency ने म्यांमार स्थित उन जातीय सशस्त्र समूहों से कथित संबंधों के लिए गिरफ्तार किया था जो भारत के शत्रु हैं। एजेंसी ने अपनी जांच के लिए और समय मांगा, जिसके बाद अदालत ने यह विस्तार दिया। पहले, उन्हें जांच में फिर से शामिल होने की शर्त पर एक महीने के लिए घर जाने की अनुमति दी गई थी।
